SpotHero won $5,000 in the first round of Apps for Metro Chicago contest. SpotHere is a website (not an app just yet) that connects owners of city parking spots with drivers that want to rent those spaces. Check out the other cool Chicago Apps that were in the contest.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel invited developers to build Web or mobile applications using data sets provided by the city, Cook County, the state of Illinois and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning. The contest runs through the end of the year with over $50,000 in prizes.
