Energy BBDO Hosts Steve James

Chicago director Steve James will speak at Energy's next Creative Salon Thursday February 9th at 4.

James is the director of the award winning Hoop Dreams documentary. You remember Hoop Dreams. It is that awesome documentary that followed the lives of two young Chicago basketball players with dreams of the NBA for 6 years.

James’s latest work, The Interrupters, which he produced, directed and shot himself, follows three former gang members working with the local CeaseFire program to intervene in violent conflicts in the community. The film premiered last year at the Sundance Film Festival and has gone on to receive widespread critical acclaim.
