Peace Through Food
Leo Burnett Chicago, in partnership with Peace One Day for the D&AD's first ever White Pencil, created Recipeace, a social movement aimed to join conflicting people through food. This is in celebration of International Peace Day tomorrow, September 21, 2012.
Leo Burnett is asking chefs, restaurants, food ambassadors and foodies around the world to join the Recipeace movement. Pledge for peace by cooking a meal inspired by recipes that have resolved conflict in history, visit a participating restaurant reserving tables for peace meals or tweet ideas of individuals who should come together over food for peace.
Food and peace are two of our favorite things.

This is the worst case of 'mash up a fake word like Alex bogusky did in 2005' in years. You can feel the creatives nodding at each other like. 'I got it! Recipeace!' Food brings people together--there's a new insight. Uncool.
I love this program!
I'm not sure what the first poster is thinking. But it's
an idea based around a simple truth- food brings people together.
It's also beautifully executed. Well done!
Love it. I saw the whole series out on the street and they are really beautiful. Nice idea. I also saw a custom Recipeace Olive Oil bottle at a restaurant in Bucktown. It was equally beautiful.
Mushrooms and mushrooms! A rip off of 'perception/reality' from the agency that ripped off 'mayhem' from 'risk'. This agency gets their ideas from other agencies' older ads. Avoid.
Wonderful idea.
To me, the two people that didn't like this is nothing more than a case of 'sour grapes'. Its fantastic work and the additional executions that I saw at restaurants throughout the city, including the peace place settings and olive oil bottle, make it much bigger and very good!
Bravo!
I saw these around the city. gorgeous.
the mushroom/mushroom cloud is actually the weakest one IMO.
I love this! My fav. is the grenade/artichoke.
Great idea.
Well done.
