Visit Big Sky (VBS) is the official destination management and marketing organization for the Greater Big Sky Area, which includes the Big Sky Resort Area District (BSRAD), and the geography twenty miles north and twenty miles south of the US Hwy 191 and MT Hwy 64 intersection. VBS was established in February 2013 as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit, membership organization. In December 2017, VBS became the fiscal sponsor for the State of Montana-designated Big Sky Convention & Visitor Bureau (CVB) which was previously under the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce.
The VBS Digital Tourism Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the CEO of Big Sky Chamber of Commerce. They will assist with the development/implementation of an integrated, year-round marketing and communications plan for the Big Sky destination that speaks to visitors, the media, travel trade, elected officials, other Big Sky community organizations, and residents/2nd homeowners. Much of this will be done through acting as the account manager contact for existing VBS third-party agencies. In addition, this person will be the lead project manager working closely with Big Sky tourism stakeholders, Yellowstone Country Tourism Region and its six other Convention & Visitor Bureaus (CVB) to promote and better facilitate the visitor experience in the region, as well as throughout the state of Montana with the Montana Office of Tourism and Business Development (MOTBD). Additional responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring the annual marketing budget, analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of all marketing communications, conducting research and developing of the destination to enhance the guest experience while preserving the natural assets that create the special place that is Big Sky.
Must have at least 3 years experience with Digital Marketing
Must have experience in tourism industry
Must have bachelor's degree in related field
