McDonald’s Sweet & Spicy Grandma is Back

Grandma’s seem to be really good at dishing advice and selling Chicken and it’s a good thing because Grandma Marianne is McDonald’s new secret sauce. Last seen in McDonald’s Buttermilk Crispy Tender’s ads, Marianne is back in a new campaign from We Are  Unlimited and shows her spicier side for McDonald’s new Sweet N’ Spicy Honey BBQ Glazed Tenders.

The new creative features Grandma Marianne talking about how McDonald’s new Sweet N’ Spicy Honey BBQ Glazed Tenders are the perfect combination of Sweet and Spicy, just like her. “Sweet N’ Spicy Grandmas” kicks off with “Sweater,” which is running nationally online and in broadcast.

Marianne will also express her ‘sweet and spicy’ personality in radio and online media. Social highlights include a series of Facebook videos with Grandma offering advice on such topics such as footballtailgating, weekend getaways, and of course, gift ideas for Grandparents Day. 

McDonald’s is also partnering with Snapchat, and introducing “Glaze Craze,” a Snappables game where users must glaze and toss as many McDonald’s Sweet N’ Spicy Honey BBQ Glazed Tenders as they can in a certain amount of time. Users can also challenge their friends to get in on the Glaze Craze fun and compete for the high score. 

McDonald’s Sweet N’ Spicy Honey BBQ Glazed Tenders will appear for a limited time at participating U.S. restaurants nationwide. This new recipe reflects McDonald’s continued commitment to respond to customers’ desires for more chicken offerings and distinct, delicious flavors.
