MillerCoors’ Saint Archer Brewing and Preacher Offer Craft Beer Lovers A Light for the Journey

MillerCoors’ Saint Archer Brewing Company has launched Saint Archer Gold, the newest and lightest addition to its craft portfolio, along with an integrated campaign that draws inspiration from the lifestyles of its founders – a crew of surfers, boarders, artists and musicians–and pays homage to its San Diego roots.

The brewery partnered with Austin creative agency Preacher to bring the campaign to life, which rolls out in Austin, Arizona, Indianapolis and Charlotte, all markets chosen specifically for their affinity for craft beer. A :90 anthem spot, featuring Foy Vance’s stunning track, “Shed a Little Light,” is central to the campaign and will run online on MillerCoors and Saint Archer owned channels and pushed across social on Instagram and Facebook. In addition, three :30 spots will air on broadcast in Saint Archer Gold launch markets, along with ads running on radio, in-store and OOH. The spots were directed by Will Mayer of Stink Films and feature real people who are experts in their craft, from surfboard shaper to neon artist.

Of creating the campaign, Preacher Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Rob Baird, remarks, “We aimed to connect the passions that are true to these independent, creative spirits through a light story and the campaign line “A light for the journey.” So whether it’s the setting sun for a group of surfers, the open flame of a neon artist, stage lights, or the glow from an impromptu party, we wanted to show their journey being guided by light. And since this product is called Saint Archer Gold, we really focused on that golden hour as day turns to night. Our director Will Mayer, DP Ian Rigby, and editor Scott Butzer deserve so much credit for really finding such true moments and building this visual story.”

Following its initial 4-market rollout, Saint Archer Brewing plans to launch Saint Archer Gold in markets nationwide.
