Acadia has been on the move creating a full-service digital growth agency for the middle market.  Now the agency has lured away Sony Ultra Records division CFO Rishi Ramano to steer its finances.

A former EY accounting executive, Ramano brings Acadia world-class financial management ability and an entrepreneurial spirit. He helped Ultra Records grow as a startup within Sony.

“I want to help fuel a more complete marketing engine for the middle market, and Acadia’s focus on core values and culture are inspiring – I know I can have a real impact,” said Ramano.

“Rishi gives us the progressive financial approach to say yes to the right investments,” said Acadia CEO Jared Belsky. “Too often the CFO acts and is seen as the no person. Rishi’s a creative problem solver and a master of automation. He can put and keep us on the smartest growth trajectory for the long term.”

Ramano is the second notable investment Belsky and his co-founder Sean Belnick have made in leaders who can create structure for the agency. In November, TiAnna Conway left her post as HR manager for Walmart to become the agency’s first People and Opportunity Manager.

“We are making critical investments in structure with the long-term in mind,” said Belsky. “A lot of smaller agencies fight a wild, wild west syndrome as they grow. By bringing in strategic leaders who have created and managed the business systems needed to scale an enterprise, we aim to build a more balanced organization. That’s the key to sustainability.”
